Bhimbetka Caves: Ancient Beauty

   Bhimbetka caves are certainly the unique dimensions of ancient beauty. The beauty of this archaeological and ancient site of Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh is visible. 

  Bhimbetka caves are also known as Bhimbetka Shelter. The country is famous for Bhimbetka rock paintings and shelter. Caves of Bhimbetka, about 45 km from Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal, are considered to be of Middle stone age.  

   Experts believe that the oldest signs of human life in the Indian subcontinent are the caves. Experts believe that Bhimbeta's caves were discovered around 1957-1958 by Dr. Vishnu Shridhar Yakankar. Influenced by the specialties, in the year 1990, the Archaeological Survey of India had declared this region as the site of national importance.

  UNESCO declared Bhimbetka caves as World Heritage Site in 2003. Bhimbetka caves include ancient fortresses, small stupas, stone-built buildings, Shung's secret carved records, Parmar carpet temple etc. 

   It is believed that Bhimbeta's caves belong to the character of the Mahabharata period Bhima. Perhaps this is why the name of this place is Bhimbetka. Bhimbetka caves are located on the lower edge of the hills of Vindhyachal. At this place, a series of Satpura hills begin in the south.

  Bhimbetka caves are especially decorated with about 750 shale paintings. As soon as entering Bhimbetka's caves, the information recorded on the stones is made aware of the facts. These paintings mainly include dance, mass dance, music, underlined human shape, hunting, animal-bird, war, ancient human history, elephant rides, horse races, jewelery decorations, tigers, lions, lions etc. 

  Pictures have been used especially in mineral colors. Among them, red, gerua, white, green and yellow color have been used.  

   These rock paintings show the lives of thousands of years ago. Religious signs also appear on the rate-o-wall of Bhimbetka caves. The philosophy of Lord Gautam Buddha is also seen here.  

   Not only this, there is also a long series of ancient heritage around Bhimbeta caves. 35 Shalasar Archeology Department had met in Pengawan, about 5 km away from Bhimbetka caves.  

   These shell images are also considered very rare. The antiquity of these rock paintings is also thousands of years old.  

   This series of Bhimbetka caves is located about 9 km from Obedulganj in Raisen district. Particularly this area of ​​Bhimbetka caves is surrounded by special flora. 

   This rainbow pattern of natural beauty is very visible. Bhimbetka caves are compared to the Kakadu National Park of Australia. Experts believe that the ancient times of caves and shelters are observed more than 30000 years ago.
