Chamoli: City of Mountain Beauty

   Chamoli should be described as an indoor bedrock of natural beauty. Yes, in the Chamoli of Uttarakhand there is a unique shade of all-round natural beauty. 

   Chamoli also has the unique beauty of mythology, religion and spirituality with natural beauty. In Chamoli there is a long series of religious places including Kedarnath and Gopeshwar, so there are also large numbers of lakes and streams and rivers.
   Particularly that the world-famous flowering valley also exists in the border area of ​​Chamoli. The lawn grounds of the velvet grass here make a difference in the beauty of the place, while the snow crew throws the tourists. 

   In the winter season, there can be plenty of snowfall for tourists here. Chamoli of Garhwal Mandal attracts tourists from the world with natural beauty. In fact, Chamoli is a beautiful hill town situated in the central Himalayas.  
  The main river of Chamoli is Alaknanda. Alaknanda is flowing out of the Jaskar of Tibet and flows with a spoon. Sprawling about 3525 square miles, Chamoli keeps every aspect of beauty in its lap.
   It is especially famous for natural storage. The musical flow of rivers appears to be disgusting. It is specially that in the Char Dham of Hindus, a Dham Badrinath is located in Chamoli District. Due to the natural beauty of Chamoli, it is called the glory of Uttarakhand.  

   There is a long series of religious, historical, tourism and beautiful places around Chamoli and its surroundings. Especially, if you look specifically at Badrinath, Tapakund, Vasundhara Water Falls, Hemkund Sahib, Gopeshwar, Nand Prayag, Panch Prayag, Dev Prayag, Vishnu Prayag, flowers and valley of flowers are quite visible.   Badrinath Dham: Badrinath Dham is the main religious place of the country. Badrinath Dham is mainly dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple was founded by Adi Shankaracharya. 

   The sanctum sanctorum, the Mandir Mandir and the Mandir Mandir in Badrinath Dham are special. Religious belief that after the transplantation of the Ganga, it was split into 12 streams and came to the earth. One of these is famous as the Alaknanda.  

   It is believed that Lord Vishnu had done penance here. When the snow began to fall during the penance, Mata Lakshmi took the form of a tree and saved God from snow. In Badrinath Dham, Lord Vishnu is worshiped with Urchin Lakshmi ji.  Tapkunda: Tapkund is in fact located on the banks of the Alaknanda river. The water of this pool always keeps warm. So it is called tapkund. Before bathing in Badrinath Dham, it is necessary to take bath in Tapkund.
   Vasundhara Water Falls: A long series of Vasundhara Water Falls exists in Chamoli. Selected water falls are known to be known as Vasundhara. This beautiful waterfall is situated on the river Alaknanda. Vasundhara Water Falls is about 9 km away from Badrinath Dham. Its height is about 400 feet. Vasundhara Water Falls is the ideal place for Chamoli.
  Hemkund: Hemkund is actually a snow lake. Located at an altitude of 4632 meters above sea level, the area of ​​Hemkund is surrounded by seven mountain ranges. There is a specific shape-type gurudwara.  
  Hemkund is one of the main religious places of Sikhism. If it is called the global religious center of the Sikh community, there may be no exaggeration. It is believed that Guru Gobind Singh Ji of the Sikh cult had austerity here.

   Gopeshwar: Gopeshwar is the main religious place of Chamoli. Gopeshwar has its own distinctive feature in the main pilgrim centers of the Hindus. Though in Gopeshwar there is a long series of Shiva temples. Yet the ancient temple is dedicated to Shiva ji.   Nand Prayag: Nand Prayag is in fact the confluence of the Alaknanda. Nand Prayag is the main pilgrimage center of Hindus. This place is located at a height of 2805 feet above sea level. Nand Prayag can see Lord Gopal Ji. Nand Prayag has its own distinct religious belief.

   Punch Prayag: Punch Prayag is in fact the confluence of rivers. There is a confluence of five rivers coming out of the Himalayas. Mainly these five rivers are Vishnu Prayag, Nand Prayag, Karn Prayag, Rudra Prayag and Dev Prayag.   Dev Prayag: Dev Prayag is in fact the Sangam site of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi. Dev Pryag also has several famous temples. It is believed that Lord Vishnu had sought three steps from the king Bali. Here Dussehra, Ramnavmi and Basant Panchami also get a fair.
  Vishnu Prayag: Vishnu Prayag is in fact the confluence of the Alaknanda and Dhauli Ganga. This place is located at an altitude of about 6000 feet above sea level. The distance of Joshimath from Vishnu Prayag is about 12 kilometers.   Valley of flowers: the valley of flowers is not less than a paradise for nature lovers. This valley of Himalayan range is buzzing with seasonal flowers from different species of flowers.

   To believe in mythology, Hanuman ji had come here to take Sanjivani to protect Laxman's life. There are 521 species of flowers in this valley.
   In the year 1982 it was declared a National Park. Wildlife is also observed in the flowering valley. Black bear, deer, brown bear, leopard, cheetah and other animal species are found in the flowering valley. UNESCO has declared this Valley of Flowers as World Heritage.

    All necessary resources are available for traveling to Chamoli. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Dehradun. Jolly Grant Airport is approximately 221 kilometers from Dehradun to Chamoli. The nearest railway station is Rishikesh. The distance from Rishikesh to Chamoli is about 105 kilometers. Tourists can also visit Chamoli by road.
